Mediation skills for Professionals Course

This course is aimed at helping managers and supervisors hone their skills when delivering interviews or investigating conflict. Whilst it will not qualify you as a mediator it will equip you with a set of skills used by mediators when helping solve interpersonal conflict. This course covers the generation of conflict and what drives it, conflict management styles, mediation process, what it is and what it isn’t. Throughout the course you will hone your Active Listening skills in practical sessions using other delegates, videos and role play scenarios.

It covers the mediation process, Active Listening skills and how to separate ‘Interests and Needs’ from ‘Positions’ using vignettes and role play scenarios. Our unique ‘Reframe’ game will equip you to reframe statements so they are more positive and future focused. All of these skills will come together as you practice through role play the practical mediation process. There is no formal assessment associated with this course. However, it does attract 8 CPD points.
